Claude Beauchamp - Training Instructor

Claude Beauchamp holds a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Political Science from Université Laval. He made his mark at the Télémédia and Radiomutuel networks, where he worked as a journalist, news editor, and assistant producer for several information and public affairs shows.

In the political sphere, he has served as press secretary for several ministers, legislative assistant to an MNA, and chief of staff for a minister. To these impressive accomplishments can be added account manager as well as director of advertising and public relations at a large advertising agency based in Quebec City. He has also served as editor-in-chief of Le Courrier parlementaire, a Quebec government news publication. He has been an RTCOMM training instructor since 1995.




Gilles Gosselin - Training Instructor

As a mentor in the fields of broadcast media and public speaking, Gilles Gosselin has provided public speaking training to the public and private sectors for 20 years, including a 7 year stint in journalism and broadcast media at Université Laval.

Gilles Gosselin made a name for himself in radio and television as a reporter and host, writer, news editor, and assistant news editor (Radio-Canada Québec). He also worked as a radio “morning man” and sports announcer. In this regard, he served as a sports commentator, announcer, or reporter at the 1996, 2000, 2002, and 2004 Olympic Games.

Throughout his career, Mr. Gosselin has specialized in employer-employee relations, earning a reputation for his fairness and objectivity during numerous conflicts. Today, in addition to his involvement with RTCOMM, he provides commentary at major athletic competitions and hosts large-scale events, such as corporate galas.




Louise Larouche - Training Instructor

Holding a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Law from Université Laval, Louise Larouche started her career as a journalist with the Canadian Press (1983). She then joined Journal de Québec, where she worked for 18 years as a general and business journalist.

In 2002, Ms. Larouche joined the business world as vice president of construction firm Les Entrepôts E.F.C. Inc. Then, to make her longstanding dream a reality, she registered with École du Barreau de Québec. She was called to the bar as a lawyer on April 1, 2006 and now runs her own family, civil, and labour law firm. With RTCOMM since 2006, Ms. Larouche participates in the print media workshops given as part of our media relations training sessions.




Gilles Morin - Training Instructor

Gilles Morin holds a Master of Political Science from Université Laval (1988). As a parliamentary reporter, Mr. Morin covered the Quebec and Canadian political scene (1967-2002) for television. From 1970 to 1971, he worked in public relations at Bell Canada. Today, he teaches communications at Université Laval, where he is a lecturer with the Journalism program.

In addition to facilitating our media workshops, Gilles Morin brings to RTCOMM his expertise and insight on crisis management, an area in which he has developed special expertise following his involvement in several high-profile stories such as the shooting at the National Assembly of Quebec, the 1998 ice storm, the Oka crisis, and the Quebec Youth Summit in 1999. Our clients value his online journalism experience very highly.




Paul Ouellet - Training Instructor

With over 25 years of communications experience, Paul Ouellet is widely known in the world of private Quebec radio. Throughout his journalism career, he has successfully served as reporter, news desk editor, the host of public affairs shows, and news assignment journalist.

After a stint as communications consultant to the chair of Comité de transition de la Ville de Québec, he turned to public radio (Société Radio-Canada), where he worked as a journalist/host and assignment editor. While at Radio-Canada, he also taught at a private broadcasting and television school. Paul Ouellet has been part of RTCOMM’s communications and crisis management training team for over 5 years.




Jacques Rivard - Training Instructor

A staunch environmentalist, Jacques Rivard has extensive expertise at a national and international level through his reports on and insightful coverage of today’s leading environmental issues. As a speaker, panelist, and advisor, he has shared his views in Africa and in South and Central America. From 1998 to 2001, he was Canada’s representative on the board of directors of the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ). Mr. Rivard has a keen understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and environmental issues related to globalization. He was a reporter for Société Radio-Canada for 35 years.

Jacques Rivard has also earned acclaim as an online journalism specialist. Since 1981, he has been a lecturer at Université de Montréal, in addition to his role at RTCOMM.




Danielle Dumais - Partner

Danielle Dumais holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Administration from Université Laval (1994) and served as manager and administrator for several large organizations up until 2001. Since then, she has made a career as a corporate writer and fiction writer. As part of her involvement with RTCOMM projects, she provides editing, writing, and strategic support services. Her imagination, attention to detail, sense of logic, and unwavering commitment to quality and efficiency make her a valuable member of the larger RTCOMM team.
