Richard Thibault

Trained in law at Université Laval (Quebec City), Richard Thibault quickly specialized in communications, pursuing a career in theatre, radio, and television and developing solid, wide-ranging expertise in the process.

After a stint as moderator of debates and public affairs officer at the National Assembly of Québec (1979 to 1987), he served as chief of

staff and press secretary for a number of ministers in the Robert Bourassa government. Richard Thibault then added to his communications arsenal by holding a variety of positions at specialized communication firms, such as BDDS. In the early 1990s, he accepted the position of director of communications and public relations with the Québec Nordiques Hockey Club.

In 1994, he founded Richard Thibault Communications Inc., surrounding himself with a versatile team capable of rising to the most exciting challenges in communications, crisis and business continuity management, and public speaking training.

Richard Thibault has over 15,000 hours of public speaking to his credit–in the theatre, on the radio, on television, and as a host, guest speaker, or training instructor. To date, he has helped hundreds of people become better communicators and all types of organizations manage their crises or arm themselves against possible threats.

Known throughout Quebec as a crisis management specialist and accredited by the Disaster Recovery Institute International, Richard Thibault has wide-ranging experience with clients in all sectors of activity, from the public sector (Sûreté du Québec, SAAQ, RACJ, Bureau du Coroner, various municipalities, and more) to the private sector (the forestry industry, financial institutions and insurance companies, the transport industry, and much more).





Marie Laroche

As a partner at RTCOMM, Marie Laroche oversees the firm’s finances, performs administrative and HR duties, and manages client relations. As project manager for crisis management and business continuity, corporate branding, and special event organization services we offer our clients, she has forged an enviable reputation for excellence.

Before joining the RTCOMM team, Marie

Laroche served as an executive assistant in the Quebec forestry industry, executive assistant for the Chief Government Whip, public relations manager for the Quebec Nordiques Hockey Club, and coordinator for Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.

Her expertise, flair, and impressive versatility make her a valuable asset for any project requiring a deft touch and strategic insight. She is also accredited by the Disaster Recovery Institute International.





Catherine St-Onge

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Public Relations from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She is RTCOMM’s operations coordinator and administrative assistant. At RTCOMM, she provides valuable assistance to senior management, whom she supports in an administrative and management capacity. She also supports project manager Marie Laroche as part of crisis and business continuity management initiatives. Catherine has worked

at RTCOMM since June 2005 and has become an efficient and highly versatile member of the team.

 


Anne-Marie Royer

A student in the multidisciplinary bachelor program (tourism and ethnology) at Université Laval, Anne-Marie serves as RTCOMM’s communications assistant and training coordinator. Since February 2007, Anne-Marie has shared her professionalism with the RTCOMM team as part of the many projects she has worked on.
